ASE Certified Technicians

ASE certifies the competency of individual technicians through a series of standardized specialty exams (brakes, steering & suspension engine repair, etc.). Tests are conducted twice a year at over 600 locations around the country and are administered by the American College Testing. The exams stress real-world diagnostic and repair, not theory. They are not easy; one of three test-takers fails. For those who pass, certification is valid for 5 years. To remain certified, technicians must be re-tested every 5 years. Consumers benefit from ASE certification.
